Father's Day

Sunday we went to my parents house for lunch. My brother, Andrew, grilled steaks for everyone and I have to admit I was quite impressed with his skills. My Grandma was feeling well enough to leave her nursing home to hang out for a couple of hours. We had a great time celebrating my dad and what an amazing man of God he is. Happy Father's Day!!!

3 MONTH ANNIVERSARY GIFT!!!

As if the banning of Giada from my home wasn't enough...Friday night we got ourselves a 3 month anniversary gift!! Meet Allie.

I think my brother Daniel would steal her from me.

She is a 7 week old Dorkie (part Daschund part Yorkie). We got her name from the Notebook, aka Chris' favortie movie. She is soo much fun. She has been sleeping in her bed all night and going to the potty on her potty pads. She does not even whine that much. I can't wait to go home at lunch and see her. Hope you all had as good of a weekend as I did.

IN WITH A NEW TOY AND OUT WITH THE BAIN OF MY EXISTENCE

Here is a picture of Chris' latest toy. Since we got it a couple of weeks ago I have found 2 Jeep magazines with items marked in them conveniently placed where I would find them. I wonder if he is hinting around at something??? We love the jeep. Almost every night we just hop in a drive around town and just enjoy being together. I love it.

In other news...since I have met Chris he is always sure to remind me of his enormous crush on Food Network's Giada De Laurentiis.

I try to stifle my insecurities about how freakin gorgeous she is by always pointing out how large her head looks in proportion to the rest of her body. Anyway, Chris forces me to watch her show all of the time but we have never tried any of her recipes until last night. Chris even called me at work yesterday to tell me that he was going to make a dish he had seen her make on her show yesterday, Pork Chops with Fennel and Caper Sauce.

I agreed to the idea on one condition, if it was terrible he would never watch her show again. Much to my delight when I got home the house wreaked. I don't know what that smell was but I could hardly stand it. Chris tried to convince me that if was not that bad but then my dad dropped by and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "What is that terrible smell?" Luckily it tasted as bad as it smelled and we ended up having to throw it out and go out to dinner. YEAH!!!! NO MORE GIADA AND HER BIG HEAD AND FAKE ITALIAN ACCENT!!!!!

Lunch Treat

Yesterday I got to have lunch with my friend Andrea (The picture above is from New Years not lunch : ). Not only was I pumped that I got to spend a little time with her but we got to eat at my fav place Pei Wei!! I keep meaning to take a picture of Pei Wei from my office window so you can all fully appreciate just how close it is to me but like most other things I mean to do...I forgot. Anyway, Andrea is that friend that makes you really disgusted because she is such an over achiever but you love her anyway because she is so fun. Andrea just ran a marathon in San Diego over the weekend after training for only 13 weeks and she finished it in 5 hours. Really disgusting!!! Andrea is also starting law school in the fall at Texas Tech. She will be moving to Lubbock which sucks but I know she will do great cause that is just the kind of person she is. Love ya Andrea!!!
